Our next local meeting of the American Scientific Affiliation (ASA) will take place on SATURDAY, September 20, from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm, at the Arveson Residence in Rockville, MD.  Bring your spouse and invite interested friends.

WHAT:  *The Road to Wisdom: On Truth, Science, Faith, and Trust* Book Discussion (Chapters 4-6)

WHERE:  Arveson Residence, 6902 Breezewood Terrace, Rockville, MD (plenty of street parking)

WHEN:  Saturday, September 20, 2025 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

WHO:  Local ASA members, spouses, and interested friends!

RSVP:  You are welcome to bring snacks, such as veggie or meat/cheese/cracker trays or desserts.  We will have drinks available.

AGENDA:  As a recent ASA email from the Board of Directors and Leadership Team, titled "Standing Together for Faith & Science in Uncertain Times," communicated, we are indeed in uncertain (and unprecedented) times.  We have been reading Francis Collins' latest book, *The Road to Wisdom: On Truth, Science, Faith, and Trust*, which Francis hopes will assist ASA members in embodying the task of reaching across divisions to understand one another better.  For our second book discussion meeting, we will cover Chapter 4 (Faith), Chapter 5 (Trust), and Chapter 6 (Hope and a Plan of Action).  Once we conclude our reading and discussion, Francis has agreed to schedule a Zoom meeting with us (date pending)!
