Care of Creation has an
ongoing partnership with the Loka Initiative at the University of Wisconsin
that is called Creation
at the Crossroads. The purpose of this annual program is to provide
pastors* of evangelical churches throughout the US with an opportunity to
examine evangelical theology, environmental and climate science, and creation
care (stewardship of God’s creation) in order to help revitalize creation care
as a critically important gospel issue. They bring the best resources of the
global church together with the most advanced environmental science available
to serve local congregations by serving your pastors. The program consists of a four-day in person convening here in Madison plus monthly Zoom meetings to follow up throughout the following year. The funders have graciously provided that all expenses (travel and conference costs, and stipend for participants). Registration for this year’s program (September 26-29) is now open. More information is available on the Creation at the Crossroads website. Note that the form found there is an expression of interest form only. Because the program is free, and space is limited, we will evaluate those who express interest and follow up with formal invitation letters. Early registration would be a good idea!
