WHEN: Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 2:00 pm ET/1:00 pm CT/12:00 pm MT/11:00 am PT SPEAKER:	E. Janet Warren ABSTRACT:  "Mental 'Illness': Evaluating medical, biblical, and psychological approaches The mental health crisis in North America is well known. But terminology can be confusing, scientific conclusions are limited, and biblical/spiritual information is weak. Christian perspectives and responses to it have been varied. In this presentation, using examples from her experience in practicing psychotherapy and teaching on the theology of the human person, Janet will explore and critique some approaches to understanding and responding to people with psychological problems. BIO:  E. Janet Warren (MD, PhD) is a family physician who practices psychotherapy, and an interdisciplinary scholar in theology and science. She is past president of the Canadian Scientific & Christian Affiliation (CSCA). She has authored several books and her most recent, All Things Wise and Wonderful: A Christian Understanding of How and Why Things Happen, in Light of COVID-19 is available through our virtual bookstore here.
