The ASA Washington DC Chapter typically holds its annual social event in the fall.  However, COVID put a hold on those plans for several years.  With the vaccine's wide availability and the declining COVID transmission rate, we thought it would be fun to move up the fall social... to the spring!   We will be catering food from a local Fairfax BBQ, but everyone is welcome and encouraged to bring salads, side dishes, chips, desserts, and drinks.  (More to follow on the "potluck" aspect in a future email.)  Spouses, children, and interested friends are welcome.

We recognize how important it is to take some time out from the normal presentation format and get to know each other as fellow Christians and fellow scientists.  Our faith and our work are critical parts of who we are as Christians and as human beings, so we look forward to learning more about how our scientific work impacts our daily lives spiritually -- and how our spiritual lives impact our daily work professionally.  We're also going to have some special guests, so keep reading!
