Monday, October 25, 7:00 PM MDT, Colorado Christian University–Leprino Hall Room 172.  This will feature Eileen O'Rourke speaking on “Food Sovereignty and Circular Local Food Economies."  Eileen is the founder of GoFarm (https://www.gofarm.org).  Since 2014, GoFarm has been promoting local small farmers in Colorado.  GoFarm provides the economic infrastructure, mentorship, and many other resources necessary to support beginning farmers and help them start their own farms.  At the same time, 1 in 11 Coloradans experience food insecurity, meaning they may not know where their next meal will come from. GoFarm hosts low-cost food markets geared toward those in need and offers economic incentives to those who are eligible.  GoFarm also works to connect people to their local farmers and local agriculture system through a multi-farm CSA and a plethora of educational opportunities.  Eileen attends church in Golden with RMASA Board members Angela Kantola and Greg Jackson.
