A Princeton Physicist on Belief in Science and Belief in God:  Dr. Robert Kaita has spent nearly four decades helping lead the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory.  He is a recipient of the Kaul Foundation Prize for Excellence in Plasma Physics Research and Technology Development and a fellow and past president of the American Scientific Affiliation.  We hope you can join us for this event co-sponsored by the Belmont University College of Sciences & Mathematics:  Click Here on Feb. 9 at 3:00 p.m. (CST).  After the live presentation, you are welcome to take part in the Q&A. Abstract of the Presentation:  Science has been successful in explaining much of what we observe around us. The inventions it has inspired would have been considered miraculous just a short time ago. However, many fail to realize that the first modern scientists were motivated by a faith that nature was comprehensible. They believed the universe was governed by the laws of its Creator, linking cause and effect. This belief made science, or the search for an understanding of these laws, a rational thing to do. This talk presents a physicist’s perspective on why science would not have been possible unless there is a “caused” universe that reflects its Creator.
