Title of Presentation:  “Echoes of Time: Evidence for an Ancient Universe and Earth”

Description of Presentation:

This session will explore the compelling scientific evidence that points to an incredibly old universe and Earth. It will delve into various lines of inquiry, including the expansion of the universe and cosmic microwave background radiation, which provide insights into the Big Bang and the universe's vast age. Closer to home, we will examine radiometric dating of rocks and meteorites, providing concrete timelines for the formation and evolution of our planet. Further evidence will be drawn from geological processes like stratigraphy and plate tectonics, demonstrating the immense spans of time required for the Earth's features to form. By synthesizing these diverse scientific observations, this lecture will paint a vivid picture of the deep history of our cosmos and our world.
