Prepare your heart for advent this season   in a special way that blends science communication with spiritual formation!

Have you heard of the foldscope microscope? It’s a pocket-sized origami style microscope with the resolution of a standard lab microscope, for a fraction of the cost. It is a tool developed by engineers at Stanford for science outreach and research in low-resource settings.

The Science Communicators of Faith have written a hands-on advent themed-devotional book with short activities that engage the foldscope.

At this event, we will introduce the foldscope, demo it, and engage in a short devotional time led by John van Sloten and Beth Madison as we prepare ourselves for advent.
