RMASA Chapter Website Up and Running!

Check out our new website at  https://network.asa3.org/members/group.aspx?id=85553  .    Here you can find our list of current faith/science activities in Colorado; our chapter blog; our list of local speakers; and information on the RMASA Board members.

What’s Happening at RMASA

Your RMASA Board met this month and identified several activities we intend to pursue in the Denver Metro area for the Sept 2019-May 2020 academic year; see below.  We also expect to have some activities in the Fort Collins area.  If you are interested in getting more involved in local activities, for Denver Metro, Fort Collins, or (especially) for the Colorado Springs area, please let Lynn know (contact info above).

1.     Monthly gatherings featuring a speaker, excellent lecture by video, article in the ASA Journal Perspectives on Science and Christian Faith, or similar, and lively discussion

2.     Support to Colorado Christian student chapter events, such as supplying speakers etc.

3.     Support to the start-up of some activities at Colorado School of Mines

4.     Outreach to churches of RMASA members, to offer an activity or speaker for the church youth group, young adult group, or whatever their interest.

Don’t Miss the ASA Annual Conference near Chicago

We encourage you to consider attending the ASA national conference, held this year at Wheaton College west of Chicago, July 19-22, 2019.  Get details and register here:  https://network.asa3.org/mpage/ASA2019   The annual conference is the absolute best way to get involved in ASA; you’ll meet many inspiring people and make new contacts with people who think like you do (well, sort of… we are pretty diverse, within boundaries!  But we pride ourselves on that.)

Hope to see you May 16!  And at Wheaton in July!
