NewsNote | September 2, 2020

Dear Colleague,

Fall has arrived here in beautiful New England and the ASA office is as busy as ever. If you or one of your family members is heading back to school, we pray that your year ahead will be filled with God's blessings amidst the challenges.

Now that the dust has settled from the Summer Something Series, planning for the fall member assembly meeting and the winter day conference has begun. In addition, we are delighted at the number of chapter meetings happening and taking advantage of our corporate Zoom license.

Please check out this NewsNote for the exciting activities taking place around North America.

Joyfully in Christ,

The ASA Team – John, Vicki, Lyn, Becky & Dana

Templeton Prize Ceremony

We are happy to share that this year, everyone is warmly encouraged to invite friends, family and people in your network to the virtual ceremony on September 24 at 7PM EDT. Please feel free to share with anyone you know who you think might be interested in the event – or people who might simply enjoy receiving this opportunity.

Please register for the ceremony yourself if you haven’t already. (Only guests registered before Sept. 15 will get the link to join.)

Please feel free to forward your invitation or the following link to any of your contacts who might be interested. (This is the easy option. You can do this at any point.)
https://mailchi.mp/templeton/join-us-at-the-templeton-prize-ceremony-general

What’s happening at the ceremony?
It’s an hour long show through a custom-built virtual portal. The laureate, NIH Director and ASA Fellow Francis Collins, will be appearing live from the National Academy of Sciences with Heather and a special musical guest, singer Renee Fleming. We’ll also have speakers including N.T. Wright, Surgeon General Jerome Adams, and messages from a former president or two. It should be an enjoyable event (and not too long) with the opportunity to submit questions in a moderated Q&A with Francis Collins at the end.
