Conference Etiquette
- Please bear in mind ASA's approach to disagreement:
- The ASA is not an advocacy organization. Where there is honest disagreement on an aspect of science, Christian faith, or the relationship between the two, the ASA strives to create a safe environment in which dialogue can flourish and diverse, even contrasting, ideas can be discussed with courtesy and respect.
- We are committed to providing an open forum where controversies can be discussed without fear of unjust condemnation. Legitimate differences of opinion among Christians who have studied both the Bible and science are freely expressed within the Affiliation in a context of Christian love, humility and concern for truth.
- For those topics on which there is no consensus and further study and analysis is needed, ASA members are dedicated to promoting ethically and methodologically sound research and dialogue.
- Please be mindful of cell phone etiquette while attending the conference. Please silence your phones when in sessions and step outside before taking/making any calls.
Name Badges
You will receive a name badge and program materials when you register. Please note that this badge is your pass into the various lectures and other activities at the conference. Kindly wear your name badge to all events and throughout the conference.
Meals
All meals will be served in Garvey Hall. These will be cafeteria/buffet-style meals.
Meal meet-ups will take place during most meals and designated tables will be marked accordingly. Check out the schedule to find a meal meet-up that you may want to attend!

Non-U.S. citizens MUST bring their Passport and any VISA (if applicable) and related permits they have for being in the U.S.

- It's a good idea to dress up a little if you're presenting a talk or poster session.
- It's best to bring along active wear for field trips and sporting events.
- It's wise to bring a sweater or jacket for the cool early morning, evenings, and for the air conditioned meeting rooms.
