Janel and Vicki continue to travel regularly on behalf of the ASA and it's always a highlight to meet with you.  | | Member Corner Congratulations to ASA Fellow Sara Miles who was presented with the Martin Science as a Vocation Award by the Presbyterian Association of Science, Technology and Christian Faith (PASTCF). Sara served on the PASTCF board from 2008–2013 and as secretary-treasurer from 2014–2019. |
|  | | Member News Congratulations to ASA Member Sidney Niemeyer on the release of his new novel Atomic Peril published on October 4, 2023. |  | | Professional Development Opportunities The Other Journal is on the front end of a 2 year, science-engaged theology project. This project takes up the theme of theological anthropology over the course of four consecutive issues of The Other Journal, each of which will address a pressing component of the larger theme: body and wellness, cognition, relationality, and death.  | | AI and the Church – New College Berkeley & the ASA Wednesday, November 8 at 7–8:30 pm PT at Palo Alto Christian Reformed Church, 687 Arastradero Road, Palo Alto, CA. This seminar will help provide handles, particularly for pastors, campus ministers, and lay leaders, for how to think Christianly about these emerging AI technologies and associated ethical challenges.
