Janel and Vicki continue to travel regularly on behalf of the ASA and it's always a highlight to meet with you. They will be embarking on an extended trip to the midwest in early November visiting members, chapters, and partner organizations. Check out their schedule below and join them as you are able. Our featured speaker will be Elaine Howard Ecklund, Director of Bonink Institute for Religious Tolerance at Rice University.   |   |    | Professional Development Opportunities  The Other Journal is on the front end of a 2 year, science-engaged theology project. This project takes up the theme of theological anthropology over the course of four consecutive issues of The Other Journal, each of which will address a pressing component of the larger theme: body and wellness, cognition, relationality, and death.    |    | AI and the Church – New College Berkeley & the ASA Wednesday, November 8 at 7–8:30 pm PT at Palo Alto Christian Reformed Church, 687 Arastradero Road, Palo Alto, CA. This seminar will help provide handles, particularly for pastors, campus ministers, and lay leaders, for how to think Christianly about these emerging AI technologies and associated ethical challenges.
