Title of Presentation:  “Neural or Sacred?  Minds, Souls, and Humans”

Description of Presentation:

Over recent decades, the biological sciences, and especially neurobiology, have tightened the link between human and nonhuman creatures, raising important theological questions about what it means for humans to be human. What does it mean to be created in the divine image? What does it mean to experience salvation and spiritual growth? How might we talk about the afterlife? These and related questions at the interface of the natural sciences, theology, and biblical studies underscore what is at stake in this presentation.
