Christianity, Race, and the God of Biomedical Science Sponsored by CRIS

This year the Center for Research in Science at Azusa Pacific University will attempt to address, "How does science impact race (in)equality?" through a series of virtual events.

We are honored to have Dr. Terence Keel kick off the series on Thursday, October 15th, 4 - 5:30 pm PST with a lecture on "Christianity, Race, and the God of Biomedical Science".  Students and friends are welcome to join and can register here:

Dr. Keel is an Associate Professor with a split appointment in the Department of African American Studies, and the UCLA Institute for Society and Genetics. He has written widely about American biomedical science, religion, law, and modern thought. His widely acclaimed first book, "Divine Variations details how Christian thought made possible the race concept in Euro-American science while also shaping the moral and epistemic commitments embedded in the study of human biology.
