Dear Colleague, Happy New Year! We are off to a great start in 2017 and we have already hit the ground running. In fact, we are in beautiful Colorado this week to meet with the Rocky Mountain local chapters and leadership team for the planning and promotion of ASA 2017, our annual meeting taking place in Golden this coming July 28 - 31. In addition, we'd like to bring you a few important updates. Submit your Abstract for ASA 2017 Please consider submitting an abstract for presentation at next July's Annual Meeting in Golden, Colorado! The deadline for submission is February 15. See the call for abstracts link here. New Executive Council Members We are pleased to announce results of the Executive Council election. Thank you to all who voted, and welcome Dorothy and Terry!
Dorothy has been a member of ASA since 2001 and was elected as an ASA Fellow in 2012. Terry Gray, Ph.D. Terry has been a member of ASA since 1980 and was elected as an ASA Fellow in 2004. ASA Gathering in Fort Myers, FL Please save the date for an ASA gathering at the beautiful home of Martin and Bonnie Price in North Fort Myers on Wednesday, March 22. If you live or winter in that area, we would love to have you join us. Stay tuned for more details to come. AAAS Conference in Boston, MA ASA will have an exhibitor booth at the AAAS conference in Boston which takes place from February 16-19 at the Hynes Convention Center. If you plan to attend the conference, please stop by to say hi! We are also planning an ASA dinner following the DoSER reception so stay tuned for time and place. NAE Student Conference in Washington, DC Sy Garte, one of the DC local chapter leaders, will be hosting an exhibitor table at the NAE student conference on behalf of ASA on Wednesday, January 25. If you plan to attend the conference or are in the area, please stop by to say hello! Loving God with All Your Mind and Alzheimer's Call for papers deadline has been extended until May 1, 2017.
