             Dear @@first_name@@, These are busy, but very exciting days for us, and we are delighted to share with you these important updates. We especially hope you will join us for the 2017 ASA Annual Meeting in Golden, Colorado, in July. Registration is open and the conference promises outstanding speakers, interesting parallel sessions, a poster session, and of course, many opportunities for fellowship and fun!  On the Road Again... On the Road Again... Leslie and Vicki are on the road on ASA business in Ohio this week.  If you are in the area, there are three different opportunities for you to connect with us: Leslie is the keynote speaker this Wednesday, 6/28 at the Christian Engineering Conference at Cedarville University. Please join us in praying for a successful evening and a great opportunity to expand the reach of the ASA. We are looking forward to the meeting this coming Thursday, 6/29 from 6 pm - 8 pm at Mount Vernon Nazarene University (Faculty Hall, Room 103) to discuss the creation of a new ASA Local Chapter to connect ASA members in the Ohio region and expand the presence of the ASA.  Please join us if you are in the area and also spread the word to your family, friends, and colleagues who may be interested in participating. In an effort to revitalize the CEST (Christian Engineers & Scientists in Technology) affiliate of the ASA. we’d love to connect with any ASA members who are attending the Christian Engineering Conference. Please join us for breakfast on Friday, 6/30 at a time TBD in the Cedarville University dining hall. ASA Prayer Committee We are looking for ASA prayer warriors to pray intentionally and regularly on behalf of and for the ASA. Would you be willing to serve on this important committee of our organization? If so, please email Vicki for specific details. Local Chapters Campaign As we continue our strategic local chapter campaign efforts around the U.S. and Canada, we look forward to hearing from ASA members interested in launching an ASA chapter in their respective geographic areas.              Student Scholarship Fund We have awarded approximately $5,000 in student scholarships for the ASA 2017 Annual Meeting to students who might not otherwise be able to attend. We rely on generous charitable contributions from our members to fund these scholarships.  Please prayerfully consider a gift to support this worthy endeavor. Donate online using this link. Walter Hearn Memorial Fund Long-time member and ASA friend, Walter Hearn, passed away on April 11, 2017. Memorial gifts in his honor can be made using this link, or mailed to: ASA, 218 Boston St., Suite 208, Topsfield, MA 01983 Capital Campaign Fund Update Thank you to the many who have generously participated in our capital campaign. We have successfully raised $136,333 to date and have just $13,667 remaining to meet our goal of $150,000. The Nexus Forum is a place for ASA members to connect and engage as an online community. Forum posts are designed to allow members to get to know each other, share from experience, find support and encouragement in their personal and professional development. Posts will introduce new topics of discussion with specific questions designed to lead to dynamic interaction with fellow ASA members.
