Impact Story: ASA Profile of Faith Tucker

Faith Tucker, ASA member and Executive Council early career representative, shared her story at the Yancey banquet at our Annual Meeting. Faith's journey with the ASA is inspiring for all who seek to balance the relationship of science and faith in their life and work. Read Faith's story here.

Recent travels...

This past month, Leslie and Vicki attended the Religion News Association conference and had meetings with the Nashville chapter. It was great to connect with ASA members and friends both at Belmont University and Union University.

In addition, Vicki attended the CSCA annual general meeting and McGrath/Shermer debate in Toronto as well as the CSCA Executive meeting in Hamilton. Also, Leslie is currently in Oxford, England speaking at the Experimental Tests Of Quantum Reality Conference.

On the Radio in L.A.

Leslie was interviewed on the Apologetics.com radio show with The Christian Exchange. Use these links to view part one and part two of her interview where she discusses her work with the ASA. These radio shows will take place monthly so stay tuned for regular podcasts.

This course examines the nature of both science & religion and attempts to explore the possible relationships between them. The primary purpose is to dispel the popular myth that science and religion are entrenched in a never ending conflict.

The course starts today, but you have until Friday, September 29 so don't miss out on this great opportunity. Please spread the word to your friends, family, students, colleagues, and any one else that might be interested!

See You on Facebook

There are two ways for ASA members to connect and interact on Facebook. We would love to see you there!

Find us at https://www.facebook.com/American.Scientific.Affiliation/. . Like our page and you will find many interesting, intriguing, compelling, and educational posts in your newsfeed. And each is an opportunity to interact with great resources and other ASA members.

The Nexus Forum is a place for ASA members to connect and engage as an online community. The forum is a closed group, and ASA members can request to be added to the group at www.facebook.com/groups/ASANexusForum. Forum posts are designed to allow members to get to know each other, share from experience, find support and encouragement in their personal and professional development. Posts will introduce new topics of discussion with specific questions designed to lead to dynamic interaction with fellow ASA members.
