What do you think about the compatibility of the physical end of the universe and Christian eschatology. What will the new creation be made out of?

Humans are embodied spirits. We can comprehend what a human is because we know everything that happens to us and everything that we do. But, we can't define or explicate what a human is. Christians believe that our freedom is before God and that when we die our past will somehow be gathered up and it will be the defining moment of our lives. Salvation will be a perfect fulfillment based upon human experiences.

Looks like you're really thinking ahead!  The end of the universe is still a large unknown since Dark Energy is such a large unknown.  Will DE weaken in time, or will acceleration continue?  If it is the latter, there will be a gigantic hydrogen energy reserve that will support millions of civilizations.  The Big Crunch alternative is more formidable.
