Physics is challenging us to modify our ideas about the nature of the Creator. In this talk Dr. Keller will discuss scientific findings that seem to say that  the future is too chaotic and variable to be predicted.  This could mean that the Creator “decided” to give creation such freedom that even the Creator can’t know the future or predict it in great detail.  The two main findings that lead to this are Quantum Theory and Chaos Theory. The  talk will give examples and posit that, even though the Creator doesn’t know the future in great detail, it can be known that certain types of organization such as living things up to self conscious beings will indeed happen somewhere at sometime.  Thus the Creator has given creation purpose, but not in the specific way Theologians have thought.

Dr. Keller has an AB in Philosophy from Benedictine—St. Vincent College in Pennsylvania.  He studied Physics and Mathematics—BS from Penn State Univ, and obtained  a PhD in astronomy from Indiana University. His area of expertise is computational  hydrodynamics within the context of climate change.
